Training would be on a day/half day basis with myself, and team support complete with Camera operator and equipment. All equipment and monitors supplied within costing, and delivered to your venue of choice, suitable for the session. Delegates will receive Radio interviews and 3 TV interviews “as Live” and “down the line” sessions as if in a studio. Scenarios to be developed with the client to provide the delegates with real issues and events to work on as part of the session. Our trainers have worked at network level for the BBC and in national newspapers as well as providing advice for senior Government Ministers. Andy Rowe Andy developed his campaigns and presentation experience working as a senior Special Adviser for six years on Frontline projects with three Scottish First Ministers, and the Prime Minister Tony Blair. Andy was a Senior Advance figure in the last General Election organising Tony Blair’s visits across the U.K. and has organized the PM’s events in Scotland since 2000. He has worked on numerous signature events representing the First Minister including the G8 at Gleneagles, Launches of Conference speeches, and Ministerial announcements. He has directed Local Authorities and Government community campaigns and co-ordinated “Listening Campaigns” for First Ministers and other Ministers across the country. Andy is also a former Director of public affairs. The Scotsman On Sunday Newspaper described him as ….“The First Minister Presentations Guru” when he departed public Office.
Lorraine Davidson Lorraine is a journalist with more than 20 years experience of all levels of the media. She has worked for national and regional TV and Radio as well as national and regional newspapers. She has also worked for local newspapers and local radio stations in Scotland. Lorraine worked as a Political Correspondent for the BBC in London covering Westminster politics before going on to cover European affairs for the Daily Mirror while she was based in Brussels. She has also worked as a Health Correspondent based in London. Lorraine currently covers politics at Holyrood for the Scottish edition of the Times and she has a regular weekly slot on BBC Radio Scotland discussing the internal workings of the media. In addition she is regularly asked to commentate on current affairs issues for BBC Radio.
Mike Haggerty Mike has worked in Television as a cameraman for over 20 years, and has a breadth of Broadcast experience both in the studio, and on outside locations. He started out with STV in 1982, and since then has spread his wings across the globe working in the Balkans, Africa, and South America. He left STV and started as a Freelance Lighting Cameraman in 1999 and since then his clients have included the BBC’s Panorama, Equinox, Eorpa, and Frontline Scotland. His other clients include European Tour productions, CH4, and a host of small independents.
Susan Dalgety Susan is a senior communications professional who provides organisations, large and small, with integrated Media support and advice. She has over twenty years experience in, journalism and public policy. Until 2007 she was the head of international communications for the Scottish government. Susan was also the chief press officer for the First Minister of Scotland, leading his media and communications team. She was chief writer for the Edinburgh Evening News for five years before joining the government and was editor of Scotland’s foremost community newspaper, during which time she developed an award winning European journalism training course.
